3 Awesome Cocktail Recipes for a Spring Party

Spring has sprung and it’s time to start thinking about planning spring and summer parties and gatherings! If you’re like me then you probably love spring and love hosting! So while I was researching for myself I wanted to share some 3 awesome cocktail recipes for a spring party, because they’re GREAT!

Mint, Lime & Wine Drink!

This drink is best when you use the flat soda near the end of a two liter…unless you plan on drinking 12 oz of Sprite in which case this is your lucky day. Begin by muddling the mint, sugar, and juice from the two limes at the bottom of a large glass. If you’re not familiar with the process of muddling, it essentially means to smash the mint leaves about a bit in order to release the flavor. You don’t need a proper muddler to do this, I actually found a small, blunt wooden object in the shape of a honey dipper to work perfectly. After this, add a shot of rum and ice, then fill the rest of the glass with the soda. Give it a quick stir and enjoy! Mmm, this one is definitely a crowd pleaser. I’m going to be serving these at my next spring party for sure!

Recipe

-12 oz of Sprite or Seven-up

-6 to 7 fresh mint leaves

-1 to 2 tablespoons of sugar

-1 to 2 limes

-3 to 4 shots of white rum

assorted wine bottles

When I think of spring and summer flavors, I tend to stay away from the darker liquors and pull out the white rums and tequilas. Then, I add a bit of fruit and something fizzy, and voila! Light, refreshing cocktails that are perfect for the coming warm months. This recipe actually comes from my friend’s recent party, and one taste made me so curious about its ingredients that I nearly had to dismantle her kitchen trying to figure it out. I didn’t get the exact proportions, but after some careful experimentation, I’d say it’s pretty close.

Strawberry, Mint & Rum Mojito

Summer is almost here and in the south it can be HOT like summer, in the spring! This delicious strawberry mojito is perfect for a hot day. It’s a really easy recipe and is a little different from the standard mojito. The recipe uses rum but can be made as a non-alcoholic drink, just exclude the rum and add more soda water.

Recipe

– 5 large strawberries, hulled

– 10 fresh mint leaves

– 1/2 a lime, cut into 4 wedges

– 2 tbsp sugar

– Ice

– 1.5 oz white rum

– Soda water

Instructions:

1. Place strawberries in a glass, add the lime wedges and sugar, then muddle it together to release the lime juice and dissolve the sugar.

2. Add the mint leaves to the glass and muddle with the strawberries and lime to release the mint flavor.

3. Half fill the glass with ice, then pour over the rum. 4. Top the glass up with soda water, stir the drink, and garnish with a strawberry and slice of lime.

Elderflower & Mint Drink | Non-alcoholic

To be a good host you always want to include a non-alcohol option for your guests! Try this unique combination of elderflower and mint!

Recipe

-2 cups of sparkling water, club soda or sprite

-3 tbsp elderflower

-ice cubes

-small handful mint leaves

-twist of lemon rind

Directions:

Method to make this is very simple. Pour the sparkling water into 2 low-ball glasses, then add some elderflower cordial to taste. Toss in a few ice cubes, the mint leaves and a twist of lemon rind, then stir gently. Serve straight away.

Best of Amazon | Moody Interiors | Dark Vibe | Gothic | Dark Library

Honey, I don’t know about you but I’m ALL about this dark moody vibe that has been ON TREND lately! I’ve actually redecorated half of our home in this vibe so I wanted to share some GOOD FINDS on Amazon!!! Girl, just save these to your cart or make a list or whatever because these need to be in your home! Let’s go!

Disclaimer: All photos below are from Amazon.com and I do not own them. Links in this article are affiliate links and I may earn a small commission if you purchase from these links but it doesn’t cost you anything extra, you just help support your girl!

This is a SET of photographs with frames and I personally am not a fan of skeletons but I like most of these prints. They put off the vibe of dark old castle or something and I’m here for it!

I am IN LOVE with dark, moody botanical wallpapers! Wallpaper is back and it is HUGE! You can do one wall, all walls, ceiling only, a piece of furniture, etc and dramatically transform a space or make a statement! This one stole my heart because not only is it dark but it has some gorgeous, delicate flowers in there and some hummingbirds. I think I even spot some butterflies!

When you’re designing a room in a moody vibe you have to pay attention to all the details. Rather than a simple mirror you go for one like this with some pizazz and personality. This is the mirror you’d find in an old castle or an old gothic cottage! This piece really makes a statement on a wall, even more so surrounded by a collage of artwork!

Nothing says “mood setting” like candles and these battery operated, remote controlled candles absolutely fit the bill for this day and age! Even when they aren’t on, these white candles in this black tinted glass give this dark and moody vibe just off the cuff. I love these! I recommend grouping them in groups of 3 on a shelf or dresser or spreading throughout a room!

Another amazing DARK wallpaper here for you! I’ve got several throughout this article so if you don’t love this one keep on scrolling! This one I chose particularly for the pops of yellow and subtle pops of pink! This is a very bold print but would be exception on one wall or on a dresser or something. It would be amazing to pair this with either white walls or gold walls or even black walls. There are so many colors in this that you could pull an optimal accent color out of here and go in a variety of different directions with the real of your color palette.

This is a lovely piece of art work on Amazon that is a vintage floral. I don’t believe this one comes with a frame so you can really fine tune the vibe you’re going for depending on what type of frame you choose to go with. A gold frame really brings this to life with a pop of glam while an old wooden frame makes it look like it’s truly aged.

Another great mirror option on Amazon to not just be simple. This one with the straight bottom but arched top makes for sitting on furniture, as pictured. The detailing at the top just gives this rich, “extra” detailing that would go great in any moody or vintage library styled room.

I would not usually be one to vote for an all black wallpaper but, honey, this one stole my heart! Look at how stunning this is up against a gray trim and natural wood? It’s a solid black wallpaper but has glossy areas vs matte ares and looks very visually textured while being just one simple color. You could do so many things with this! I love how it’s a dark, broody color yet it’s roses so it’s so feminine! This could really go for a feminine or masculine space!

What room would be complete without some simple, lovely candle sticks? None…the answer is none. Get you a few, sprinkle them about and bonus points if you ever actually light real candles!

Here is another collage of art option on Amazon! These are all vintage and really just scream old, eclectic, vintage, cottage, etc. I believe these come without frames again as well and also have a few size options so check out those details on Amazon.

I find this print to be unique while being really drawn to it. It gives a dark vibe because you notice the spiderweb almost right away but yet the vibrant colors throughout the image are what is really captivating. It’s lovely and floral but yet dark as well.

Amazon link here

I had to save this wallpaper to my own vision board for later use because seeing it in an example room just almost took my breath! This is a black wallpaper with gorgeous white, thick, fluffy flowers. These could be double roses or peonies or maybe something else but how full and luxurious the flower looks with the contrast again the black background is really eye popping and very pleasant.

Amazon link here

Although these aren’t much to write home about in the example photo, this set of 4 fake hanging plants is a winner! I have these personally in my own home and I’ve tucked them all over. I have one on top of my fridge where you can’t see the container its in and on top of other tall furniture all throughout my home. They provide this nice pop of greenery that you really don’t notice that often but when you do catch it out of the corner of your eye, you realize it completes the space!

These are, by far, my favorite “moody” and dark prints on Amazon right now out of all I’ve come across. Something about nature taking back an old house or castle and growing wildly and abundantly throughout the interior of a home…gives me that botanical library feeling, which I’m always looking for in life. This is currently on my list of things to add to my own master bedroom in due time!

Amazon link here

I really love these battery operated and remote controlled candles because from afar these look like just thick black candles that have already been used and melted. Even when they aren’t on, from afar they’ll just look like regular candles. I like the visual texture on the outside of the candle as well!

Amazon link here

If skeletons are your vibe then this peel and stick wallpaper is pretty near! I like that it’s solid black and white, so you can add any (or none) pops of colors to compliment it but it also has botanicals throughout. I like the example of how this was used in a modern bedroom or also to cover the front of a dresser, love that idea for really cold prints!

Amazon link here

Another exceptional set of photographs on Amazon. These do come with the frames and I guess because of the owl but these give me HP vibes!

Amazon link here

This set of pictures comes with 12 prints actually and if you love that hippie/nature/dark/forest vibe then you’ll love these. I like how some pics are mushrooms (trending more lately) while others are vibrant florals, butterflies and creatures! You could guy the affordable set to use half of them or spread them throughout your home!

Amazon link here

I love the physical and visual texture of this black lace curtain! It won’t offer you must privacy but if you have blinds or maybe another color of solid curtains this could easily be a wonderful accent to those providing a vintage and classy vibe. If the room is very dark in esthetic it could go well with gothic as well!

Amazon link here

I love simple wall hangings like this because sometimes they’re more affordable than art work and frames but visually they can give as much or an even bigger pop! They can really complete the look on a wall, as you can see in the example photo how the furniture and plant are placed around these wall hangings as they are the star of the show in this corner of the room.

Amazon link here

These dark faux flowers would go great in a moody room! What’s nice about these is they are still a natural color so these could very easily be found in nature but by having the darker leaves they fit well into a moody or gothic space while providing you a floral element!

Amazon link here

My last wallpaper fav on display today is a black wallpaper with gold accents. This is for sure much more tame than some of my other examples above but this is still very bold. This could be used in a fully modern room, gothic, librarian, bohemian, gothic, etc and allow all the other details in the room around this print to fully fill out the design esthetic you’re going for!

I hope you’ve enjoyed some of my recent favorite Amazon finds! If you enjoy home decor articles like this, comment below and let me know what vibe you’d like me to research next time!
